Caroline Goggin joined the Action News team in July 2023 as an anchor/reporter. Prior to returning home to Pennsylvania, Goggin spent seven years working in New England. She most recently worked as a reporter and fill-in anchor at WHDH in Boston, where she covered her fair share of severe weather, breaking news events, and championship runs. Prior to that, Goggin worked as an anchor/reporter for WPRI in Providence. One of her most notable assignments in Rhode Island was a deep dive she did on how burn pits were affecting members of the military. Goggin began her career as an anchor and reporter for WBNG in Binghamton, New York.

During her time in Rhode Island, and just a few weeks after getting married, Goggin suffered a stroke at the age of 27. After making a full recovery, she and her husband, Travis, decided to get involved in the stroke community. In February 2020, she was honored by the American Heart Association during their Go Red for Women luncheon in Providence. Then, in April 2022, she and her husband ran the Boston Marathon for Tedy's Team - an organization created by stroke survivor and former New England Patriot, Tedy Bruschi. Throughout their training, Goggin and her husband raised $25,000 for the organization - funds that will be used for stroke research and awareness efforts.

After almost a decade away, Goggin is returning home to the Philadelphia area and to her favorite sports teams. She was born and raised in West Chester and is a graduate of Bishop Shanahan High School in Downingtown. Goggin graduated from Penn State University with a degree in broadcast journalism. When she isn't at work, you can find her on a run with her husband or on a walk with their dog, Winston. Goggin is so excited to be home and to share your stories!
