Annie McCormick
Annie McCormick joined 6abc Action News in September of 2012 as a general assignment reporter. She came to Action News from Harrisburg where she was the weekend anchor and reporter.

Prior to working in Harrisburg, Annie's on-air career included reporting stops in Waco, TX and Albuquerque, NM. Annie began her career in journalism as a photo intern in The White House press office. After college, she worked as a photojournalist for newspapers and wire services in the Tri-State area including The New York Times, the Associated Press, The Philadelphia Daily News, US Weekly and Star magazines, among others.

Annie served on The Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers Board for several years. She also created the series "Wanted in Central PA," which profiled local fugitives and worked closely with U.S. Marshals to track down Megan's Law offenders. During her time at 6abc, Annie has extensively covered crime and major events ranging from Super Storm Sandy to the 2015 Papal visit.

Annie won several Associated Press awards and was Emmy-nominated in both New Mexico and Pennsylvania. In 2012, she was named Media Advocate of the Year by the Dauphin County Victims Witness Assistance Program. In 2017, The International Association of Firefighters, Local 22, named Annie Media Person of the Year.

A trained mezzo-soprano, Annie had the honor of singing in The Archdiocesan Choir. Annie is also an author; her first true crime book, The Doctor, The Hitman and The Motorcycle Gang, is set to be released in the Spring of 2020.

Annie graduated from Muhlenberg College in Allentown, PA with a major in Communications and minor in Music. She is a South Jersey native and a graduate of Moorestown High School in Moorestown, N.J.
