Adam Joseph
Adam graduated from Lyndon State College with a Bachelor of Science in 2000. His first on-air experience came in 1998 when he forecasted and anchored the weather on LSC-TV. Looking back, he laughs at his green performance, but cherishes the experience Lyndon was able to give him prior to achieving a degree.
Adam started his career at WBOY-TV as the Chief Meteorologist in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Shortly after, he landed a job with WSAZ-TV in Charleston-Huntington, West Virginia. It was there he received the prestigious AMS Seal of Approval for Television, as well as several awards for meteorology excellence. Four years later, he joined WPVI as the weekend Meteorologist in April of 2005. You can find Adam every weekday on Action News at 4pm, 5:30pm, and Action News at 10pm on PHL-17. He contributes to countless station specials, including the 6abc Thanksgiving Day Parade, The Flower Show preview special, and the Auto Show preview special, just to name a few. Adam loves the balance of fulfilling a lifetime passion for weather while dipping into the entertainment world. Adam fills in on ABC's Good Morning America when needed, and was voted Philadelphia's Best Meteorologist by Philadelphia Magazine in 2009 and was honored to accept the 40 under 40 award from the Philadelphia Business Journal for professional excellence and community involvement in 2011.
Adam is strongly committed to making a difference in the community and is heavily involved with Hospice and the American Cancer Society. Adam enjoys weight lifting, running, biking, swimming, spending time with family, and just making every day count. He participated in his first triathlon in Richwood, West Virginia in 2001, and has since completed a total of 13 triathlons. In 2013 he completed 7 triathlons, the final being a 70.3 half ironman in Bear Delaware. It was a goal of his for more than 12 years.
